Dry type transformer refers to a transformer with a solid insulation material that does not immerse the iron core and winding in insulating oil. It has the characteristics of fire prevention, explosion prevention, no pollution, and simple maintenance. It is widely used in high-rise buildings, hospitals, airports, data centers and other places with high safety requirements.
1. Working principle: Dry type transformers are based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The voltage is increased or decreased by the turns ratio of the main coil and the secondary coil. AC electricity generates a magnetic field through the main coil, and the magnetic field is conducted to the secondary coil through the iron core to induce electromotive force.
2. Cooling methods: There are two types: natural air cooling (AN) and forced air cooling (AF). Natural air cooling can operate continuously for a long time, while forced air cooling can increase output capacity by 50%, but it is not suitable for long-term continuous overload operation.
3. Insulation types: There are mainly two types, one is epoxy casting type, and the other is Nomex paper type. The winding forms include winding type, epoxy resin casting type, glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin casting type, etc.
4. Structural form:
-Open type: The device body is in direct contact with the atmosphere and is suitable for dry and clean indoor environments.
-Closed type: The device is enclosed in a shell and is mainly used in mining explosion-proof scenarios.
-Casting type: using epoxy resin casting as the main insulation, with a simple structure and small volume.
